5 Ways To Become More Productive
It's Monday and who's excited? Brand new week to absolutely crush it! Warrior Fit just isn't about fitness and nutrition is about personal development too. I'm always trying to find ways to be more productive and go throughout my day without that feeling of anxiety and stress. We all experience it, and it sucks. You draw up that huge To-Do list and bam you stare it down like a matador does to a bull. Then that overwhelming feeling drops in, so delightful. Lets start engaging in what we are doing. Lets get more focused. When we are fully present, we open up to creativity and insight. Check out these 5 ways to become more productive in your day.
1.) Remove Distractions
We always have 5 thousand applications running. A bunch of different tasks going on at once. So lets clear our desk. Start with a clean working area. Shut down your facebook, skype, and other applications if you don't need it at the present time. Anything that will pull your mind away from the task at hand get rid of it.
2.) Set Your Goals
Create a short list of goals for the day. And I'm not talking make a To Do List. Create reasonable goals that you can accomplish. Start with 3-5 goals. If you find your goals to be time consuming then start with 3, but if they are easy goals start with 5.
3.) Time Keeps On Slipping Into The Future
Yes! You have to budget your time. First step decide how much time you can allocate to each goal. Be realistic here and then give yourself an extra 30 min to an hour to achieve that goal. Giving some buffer time is smart just in case any unforeseen obstacles pop up. If the time allotment isn't enough to hit your goal, then decide at that time if you want to move forward to finish the goal or if it can wait.
4.) Ready Break
Always give yourself some time to take break and give yourself a reward too. You can set time intervals at 15, 30, 45 min, or 1 hour. When you hit those time intervals take a nice break. And not the kind of break that will distract and pull you away from being productive. This can be as simple as getting up and stretching, and taking a short walk. You can set big breaks in your day as well. In this big break, you would make your phone calls, check your emails and reply, grab lunch ect.
5.) Always Finish Strong
Once you finish the last task for the day. Review what you have done. If you had to cut one of your tasks short now could be a good time to go back and finish. You will feel confident and complete by handling these loose ends. If you find yourself having more time at the end of the day, you can always set more goals for your next day. You would keep adding goals until your day is filled perfectly.
Choosing fewer goals each day and focusing on them you will become more productive. You will watch your success rate climb. You will feel more in control of your time, your priorities, and state of mind. I hope this helps you out this week.
